Brandon, John Franklin's Obituary
John Franklin Brandon, age 81, passed away on February 6th 2025 after a brief illness.
John was born August 8th, 1943, in Memphis, TN.
He was predeceased by his parents, Pat and Louise Brandon, step-father, Joe Edwards, older brother Van Brandon, wives Judith Brandon and Penny Brandon and son, Craig Brandon.
John is survived by his sister, Patricia Brandon Tucker, nieces Karen Tucker Montgomery and Donna Brandon, nephews Kenneth Tucker, Kenneth Brandon and Gary Brandon, grandchildren Tyler Brandon, Savannah and Noah Brandon, step-children, Josh Tyson and Holly Tyson as well as his many friends he considered family at the Jenn Care Home where he recently resided.
John became a Christian at the age of 67 and was on fire for the Lord! He was a faithful member of Bellevue Baptist Church and involved in several ministries including the Jail Ministry at 201 Poplar with his good friend, Kent Stoneking. John made friends easily, always had a great sense of humor and wasn't timid about sharing Jesus with anyone at any time or place.
He worked as a glazer at Bingswanger Glass Co. and in California. He was an avid Alabama football fan and excellent golfer even into his 70's. He gave golf lessons at many of the courses in the Memphis area.
John loved Jesus with all his heart and is now resting in His arms.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, February 13 at 12:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. all in the Pollard Chapel of Bellevue Baptist Church. Interment to follow at Morning Sun Cemetery.
