John Baltensperger's Obituary
John Jacob Baltensperger, Sr., 88, of Memphis, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2014. He was born August 17, 1926 in Nebraska City, NE. He is survived by his wife, Emily Baltensperger; two sons, John Baltensperger, Jr. and Joe Baltensperger (Tina); and five grandchildren, Mark, Matthew, Anna, Sara and Amy Baltensperger; as well as his sister, Edith Soderburg. John was a longtime member and Sunday School teacher at Ridgeway Baptist Church. John served his Lord faithfully throughout his life as a minister, friend and teacher. A visitation will be held Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 5pm-7pm. Funeral service will be Friday at 11:30, both at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Memphis Union Mission.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, “Behind the Stone Wall.”
