Johanna Condon's Obituary
Johanna Elizabeth Condon, 66, of Memphis, TN passed away September 17, 2025 after a short battle with brain cancer. Johanna was a native Memphian attending St Ann Bartlett, Immaculate Conception, Bartlett High School, and the University of Memphis where she made many cherished life long friends. After high school, she honorably served in the Marine Corps until departing to start a family and a new career as a Registered Nurse.
Johanna worked with many Nurses, Physicians, and Residents over the years in her roles at Baptist Hospital, Life Blood, and St Jude. She greatly enjoyed her Research Nursing career with St Jude and impacted so many lives. She retired at the age of 65 to spend more time with family and friends and to travel.
Johanna was an avid reader, had a great love for music, art, and theatre, and a tremendous zest for travel. After retirement she shared her love for music with her early Friday morning show on WEVL. She was always in for a trip, experienced many wonders of the world, and created countless life long memories with family and friends.
Johanna was preceded in death by her parents John Joseph Condon, Hazel McCord Condon, and her brothers Michael Patrick Condon and Michael Ellsworth. She is survived by her partner Ron Kwoka, children Christian Marineau Mezmar (Nick) of Huntsville AL, Margaret “Meg” Marineau Walker (Jason) of Memphis TN, her brother John Joseph Condon Jr (Ann), her sister Susan Condon Cooper(Jeff), her four grandchildren Jacob, Hazel, Asher, and Maggie; her nieces and nephews John Condon III (Amanda), Jessica Condon Trottman (Lane), Chloe Stallings, Morgan Stallings and lifelong friends Ruthie and Pam.
Visitation will be held at Church of the Holy Communion Memphis, TN at 11:30 AM on Wednesday 24 September 2025 immediately followed by the service at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to St. Jude or WEVL.
