Joe M. Gooch, 79, of Collierville, TN passed away April 30, 2017 with family by his side after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 2 from 6- 8 pm and a memorial service will be held on Read Obituary
I am so sorry to hear of Joe’s passing. I will always remember his and cousin Jeannie’s kindness in the summer of 95'. My father was gravely ill in a Memphis hospital and they opened their home to my mother for a quiet place to stay for a few days. Mother spoke fondly of Joe and Jeannie’s hospitality for years afterward. Again, my deepest regrets on your loss of Joe.Bobby Boone

So sorry to here of Joe’s passing. I have know Joe all of my life. I started to school with him at Double Bridges, he was in 2nd grade. I left in 6th grade, but we went to high school & graduated together. Our families were friends for many years. Joe was a very fine man and I know you will find comfort from all the love & memories in the coming days. Sue (Cowell) Burden.
I remember the first time I met Joe. My mom (Jeannie’s older sister) and family was meeting Joe to see if he was a good match for Jeannie. He had just left and before the door was shut I yelled, oh, I like him! You need to marry him Aunt Jeannie. She was so embarrassed and was afraid he had heard me. He didn’t let me down. He was always striving to make Jeannie and the girls happy, thank you Joe for being a great husband and uncle!
