I worked with Joe while with Konica Medical Imaging. His passing hits me hard as I thought so highly of Joe. Back in the late 80's we shared a room at RSNA in Chicago. The walls literally moved "in-and-out" during his snoring, but I wouldn't trade that and many other unique experiences with my friend for anything. We don't meet very many one-of-a-kind people in our lives. Joe Burns was one of those for me. Rest in Peace, Joe.... and God bless you, Rosemary, and all of The Burns.

I remember Joe and .UNA studentsaand myself when we mapped the New Bethel MBChurch.in 2017 and completed the project
IN 2019.Joe and l were so excited to be working on this.He arrived every morning at 8 and stayed until 5.Taking photos and instructing us how to brave a grave.Such an amazing man.He is gone but never Forgotten ❤️ 💖 ♥️

I saw Joe only a few times when he would drive from Germantown, TN to The Shoals to share his knowledge and expertise about genealogy. He cared about people and was a Christian. A lot more can, and will, be said about him. I'm sure many people have stories to tell that will bless and encourage his family. May God bless you all.
