Jobyna "Jo" Oakley's Obituary
Jobyna “Jo” Oakley of Olive Branch, MS passed away October 20, 2017. Jo was born in Dunlap, TN on December 30, 1932. She married Thomas Edgar Oakley on December 21, 1957. She worked for Retail Credit Co. (Equifax) in Dearborn, MI for 25+ years. She was preceded in death by her husband Ed Oakley, parents Floyd Arnold Smith Sr. And Norine Maynard Smith, brother Dr. Floyd Arnold Smith Jr., sisters Evelyn Dolores Marshall (Jim) and Sheralyn Smith-Moon. She is survived by her brother Phil Gary Smith (Kim), sister-in-law June Tate Smith of Trumann, AR, Nieces Barbara Carole Schlitt of Jonesboro, AR, Joandra Dunlap (George) of Edmond, OK, nephews Joseph Bryan Smith (Lettie) of Harrisburg, AR, Barry Marshall (Debbie) of Germantown, TN, Kevin Marshall (Terri) of Memphis, TN, Jonathan Moon of Edmond, OK, Brandon Smith (Jeri) of Bentonville, AR, Justin Smith (Andrea) of Trumann, AR, Derek Smith (Heather) of Jonesboro, AR, eighteen great/great great nieces and nephews, and very special friends, Pam Everton (Wayne) of Olive Branch, MS, Garland Crawford (Iris), Ed Galfsky of Memphis, TN. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 25 at 2:30 pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:30 pm. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to First United Methodist Church, 220 N. Pine Ave. Trumann, AR 72472. “Celebrating Life… Behind the Stone Wall”.
