JoAnne S. Simpkins' Obituary
May 24, 1935 – May 26, 2026
JoAnne passed away peacefully on May 26, 2026, at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House with her family and friends by her side. Born and raised in Rosemark, TN, JoAnne moved to Memphis after graduation where she met Robert Simpkins. Together JoAnne and Bob had two daughters and enjoyed 71 years of marriage. JoAnne was a wonderful wife and mother and a faithful member of Farmington Presbyterian Church.
JoAnne was preceded in death by her mother Lesta Barker, father Eldridge Seward, brother Charles Perry Seward, husband Robert Simpkins, and daughter Patti Simpkins. She is survived by her daughter Cyndi Bennett (Bruce), grandson Jonathan Bennett, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Farmington Presbyterian Church (8245 Farmington Blvd., Germantown, TN 38139) or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
