Joann J. Brown's Obituary
Joann Johnston Brown, 83 passed away June 8th 2013 at the Memphis Jewish Home. She was the only child of Robert F. and Nell Johnston, was raised in Immaculate Conception Parish and was the Salutatorian of her High School graduation class at Sacred Heart High School. Married to Charlie Brown(deceased 1999) for 51years and together they had 7 children. Joann Christian (Frazier); C. Robert Brown (Debbie);Patty Parker(Jeff); James (deceased); Christy Cain; Cindy Collins(Rip); David M. Brown (Leanne). In addition to her children there are 19 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great, Grandchild. A kind and loving woman who was devoted to her Faith, Family and Friends for her entire lifetime, she will be remembered for her sweet smile and disposition. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Catholic Charities of Memphis or the charity of the donor’s choice. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, June 11th at Memorial Park Funeral Home, with a Rosary starting at 7:00. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 12th at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
