Jimmie "Jim" Pierce Taylor's Obituary
Jimmie “Jim” Pierce Taylor, 73, of Memphis, died Wednesday, December 25, 2013. Born September 26, 1940, in Junction City, AR, son of Louise Bailey and the late Britt Henry Taylor, Jim was a retired Staff Sergeant in the Tennessee Army National Guard. He was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church in Memphis. A deacon and follower of Jesus Christ, Jim sought to serve Him and spread the good news of his salvation. Survivors include his mother; his wife, Sharon; his three sons, Benjamin (Adrienne), Daniel (Micah), and Britt (Bailey), of Greenville, MS; three granddaughters; two sisters, Twila Daniel (Jerry), and Judy Farr, of Houston, TX; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Memorial Park Funeral Home, Friday, December 27, 2013, at 1:30 PM. The funeral service will be held immediately afterward at 2:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Ridgeway Baptist Church.
