Jessie Lee Hartwell of Memphis, TN died March 10, 2011. She was born on October 28, 1919, in Minturn, AR. She was retired from the Memphis City Schools Board of Education where she taught cosmetology at Memphis Technical High School. She was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church for 54 years. Jessie Lee was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Hartwell, daughter, Marva Lee Woodward of Harker Heights, TX, brothers, Charles F. Hendrix of Myrtle Beach, SC and Paul G. Hendrix of Hoxie, AR, and sister, Margaret Wood of Harrison, AR. She is survived by her son, Jim Hartwell (Linda), son-in-law, Ronald Woodward of Harker Heights, TX, granddaughters, Vicki McClure (Rick) of New Braunfels, TX and Jennifer Henderson of Halls, TN, great-grandchildren, Aleigha McClure and Brennan and Hudson Henderson, and sisters, Alice Greenwell of Southaven, MS, Rosetta Thompson of Memphis, TN and Joyce Franks of Moscow, TN. Funeral arrangements are at Memorial Park Funeral Home with visitation, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m, service at 1 p.m., with burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
