Jerry Wax's Obituary
Julius “Jerry” Wax, 84, of Memphis, passed away on May 19, 2010. He was a U.S. Army Second World War Veteran and a graduate of New York University with a Bachelors Degree. He was a member of the American Theatre Wing, and worked at the Metropolitan Opera Press Department, New York City. Jerry was also Manager for Columbia Artists, N.Y. City, and Executive Director of Arts Appreciation Foundation, Memphis, TN. He was Executive Board Member for the Association of Artists Representatives for 6 years and Director of Opera Memphis for 6 years. He leaves his lifelong friend and companion Dr. John Russell of Memphis, one brother and sister in law Frank D and Karen Wax, a sister Edith Wax, and a niece Karen Giovanni all of Lebanon, CT. Friends will be received from 10:30-11:30 on Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Memorial Park Funeral Home with services to follow at 11:30am.
