Jerry Edward Swearingen's Obituary
Jerry Edward Swearingen, 70, after a brave and long struggle with many illnesses passed away and went home to our Lord on September 29, 2020. Jerry retired from Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad after 40 years of service as a Locomotive Engineer.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Montez Taylor and John Edward Swearingen. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary V “Ginger” Giordano Swearingen; his daughter, Patricia Sansom (Keith); his son, Michael (Jen); five grandchildren, Steven Hays, Nolan Sansom, Nathan Sansom, Parker Swearingen, and Avery Swearingen; three siblings, John Swearingen (Susan), Joan Curd (Frank), Judy Deyo; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service for Jerry at Saint Paul United Methodist Church, 2949 Davies Plantation Road, Lakeland, TN 38002 on Friday, October 9, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. followed by a private graveside.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that all memorials be sent to Saint Paul United Methodist Church, Lakeland, TN.
