Jerry Lee King's Obituary
Jerry Lee King, 75, of Olive Branch, MS, went to be with his Savior on February 7th, 2018, from the Reynolds Baptist Hospice House in Collierville, TN after a short struggle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, James Marion King and Alma Frances Brown King. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Linda King, two sons, Dr. John Kevin M.D. (Jena) of Flower Mound, TX and James Matthew (Karen) of Olive Branch, MS, two step-sons, Dwight Stoner (Hayley) of Nesbit, MS and David Stoner (Cindy) or Olive Branch, MS, seven grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, a sister, Rita Kay King (Larry) and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Mr. King was a former Deacon at Audubon Park Baptist Church and member of LaBelle Haven Baptist Church in Olive Branch, MS. Jerry was a draftsman and project manager for Archeon Architects and Service Master for over 40 years. An avid Bass Fisherman and traveling companion to his wife, Jerry enjoyed tinkering in his shop with woodworking. He was a Tennessee boy through and through. He loved Gibson county and was in the Air Force Reserves. The visitation will be held on Saturday, February 10th from 10am until the time of the Memorial Service at 11am at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue in Memphis. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions to be made in Mr. Kings name to either Baptist Reynolds Hospice House or Church Health Center or Make a Wish.
