Jeannine Cannon Bowen's Obituary
Jeannine Cannon Bowen, 89, of Memphis, TN, went to be with the Lord on April 19, 2018. She was the daughter of the late James C. Cannon and Lillian Sinclair Cannon of Memphis. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, William Donald Bowen. She is survived by her three children, Mark Bowen (Vicki) of Hendersonville, TN; Donna Turner of Fort Mill, SC; and Denise Tait (Jim) of Germantown, TN; five grandchildren, Derek Daily, Zac Neeley, Nathan Bowen, Danielle Bowen, and Lilli Turner, and one great grandchild, Ava June Hargis. Jeannine graduated from Tech High School in 1946, attended Memphis State College and Memphis College of Art. She loved to paint, and was an excellent artist and photographer. For many years, she was a member of the Memphis Germantown Art League, earning her platinum star artist designation in 2015. She was a member of Kirby Woods Baptist Church and a devoted follower of Christ. Known for her sweet nature, her smile and her sense of humor, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Services will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Avenue, on Tuesday, April 24, at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive visitors beginning at 9:00 a.m.
