Jeanne R. Burrow's Obituary
Jeanne Roberds Burrow went to be with the Lord, August 20, 2009 after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.S. Roberds. She was a loving mother and grandmother, who made us happier than she could possibly imagine. She was an active volunteer for many community organizations including Les Passes, LeBonheur Club, Ikebana, Tuesday Study Club, Arts & Gardens, and L’Allegro Kings Daughters. She was a Duchess of Memphi in 1988 Cotton Carnival. Mrs. Burrow was a graduate of Campus School, Hutchison School for Girls, and Southwestern (now Rhodes).She is survived by two children, Jeanne Burrow Wilbourn and James I. Burrow III. She also leaves five grandchildren, Adelaide, Lillie, and Maude Burrow, Jake and McCadden Wilbourn. She leaves both her loving, caring, and devoted daughter-in-law and son-in-law Kelly Burrow and John Wilbourn.The family would like to express a special thanks to her wonderful caregivers Geniella Davis and Emma Cole.The family will receive friends, on Monday August 24, 2009, from 10-11 am in the Salmon at Second Presbyterain Church with services to follow at 11:00 am in the Chapel.The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be sent to the Church Health Center or Second Presbyterian Church.
