Janice Bonds Gardner's Obituary
Janice Bonds Gardner, 79, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. Mrs. Gardner was a member of Broadway Baptist Church in Southaven, MS. She worked at Sears for many years and at FedEx until her retirement in 2003. She was an avid gardener and baker, enjoyed spending time with her family, especially during the holidays and always treasured her time at the beach.
Mrs. Gardner was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Mable Bonds.
Survived by her husband Larry Gardner, two sons, Jim Gardner (Melinda) and Scott Gardner (Kay), five grandchildren, James (Caroline), John David (Elizabeth), Peyton, Alex, and Drew Gardner, two great-grandsons, Jed and Emmett Gardner. She also leaves two sisters, Carole Rawls and Mary Chism (Bobby), nephews Brad and Jason Chism, Greg Rawls, and a niece, Stella Holland.
The visitation will be held Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the service time at 11:00 a.m., at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Ave., Memphis TN. The interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in her honor can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Memphis Humane Society.
