Janette "J.J." Krauch's Obituary
Janette “JJ” Gwin Krauch, beloved wife, mother, "JJ," and dear friend, passed away peacefully on August 27th, 2024, at the age of 76. Born on St. Patrick’s Day, 1948, in Memphis, Tennessee, she lived a life full of love, laughter, and meaningful connections.
For over 57 years, JJ was married to the love of her life, Bobby, with whom she built a family and a lifetime of cherished memories. As "Momma" to her son Bryan and "JJ" to her adored grandchildren, Hunter and Sadie, she was the heart and soul of her family. She dedicated her life to creating a loving and supportive environment for everyone she held dear.
JJ had a passion for travel and adventure, exploring the world with Bobby by her side. Together, they visited all but one continent, creating unforgettable experiences.
To say JJ had a generous spirit would be an understatement. Gift-giving was her love language, and she was always eager to spoil those she loved. Her kindness, generosity, and sense of humor brightened the lives of everyone she met.
Throughout her life, JJ formed deep and lasting friendships through her involvement with organizations such as Les Passes, River Oaks Garden Club, Suburban Garden Club, Theatre Memphis (Board Member), and The Mystic Society of the Memphi, where she was honored as Queen in 2020/2021. The bonds she created along the way endured the test of time, reflecting the warmth and love she brought into the world.
JJ is survived by her devoted husband, Bobby; her loving son, Bryan; her cherished grandchildren, Hunter and Sadie; her sister, Mary Ellen Reeves (Indiana); as well as extended family and countless friends whose lives she touched. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy of love, laughter, and enduring friendship will remain in our hearts forever.
A celebration of JJ's life will be held on September 12th, 2024, at Memorial Park Funeral Home with visitation from 12:00pm – 1:00pm, followed by the service at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made, in her memory, to any of the following:
