Janet Goad Crossnoe's Obituary
Janet Goad Crossnoe, born July 16, 1942, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 22, 2022. She was a loving mother, sister, daughter, wife and friend. She was a 1960 graduate of Treadwell High School, where she was voted Wittiest by her senior class.
She was always very involved in church. She was a member of Leawood Baptist Church for many years, then Leawood East Baptist Church and, finally, Faith Baptist Church. She taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, and played piano.
She taught piano in her home for many years. She also worked at Lifeway Christian Store as a sales associate.
Janet is preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Bennie Crossnoe, her father, Clayton “Peck” Goad, and her mother, Martha Burchfield.
She is survived by her sisters Judy (Bobby) Cawthorn of Brandon, Mississippi, Cindy Shriver of Germantown, Tennessee and her children Casey Crossnoe of Houston, Texas, Ken Crossnoe of Houston, Texas, Terri (Del) Austin of Memphis, Tennessee and Clay (Renee) Crossnoe of Bentonville, Arkansas. She also leaves her grandchildren Shelby (Drew) Ober, Savannah (Josiah) Morris, Garrett Crossnoe, Sophie Crossnoe and Tabitha Austin, and one very special great grandchild, Theora Ober.
