Earth is a little less gracious and a little less bright since Janet has "gone on ahead" but we know that heaven is even more gracious and bright because she is there.
The service today was lovely and we enjoyed reminiscing about Janet and her famous hostessing stories. She was a delight and a blessing to know.

She always encouraged me and always reminded me how much she loved my mother.
Janet is such a special person. We were in several Bible studies together and she was so authenticate in her faith. She was always quick to encourage and so uplifting to the young mothers. She was the perfect hostess and enjoyed loving others through her amazing cooking. Several years ago she hosted a sweet tea party for our daughter and her friend and that will always be such a special memory we have with her. We continued our friendship over the years and no matter when I called she would make time to talk. What a joy to know I will see her again. Praying for you Tarry, your kids and grandchildren.

Memories of a particular trip to New England are many. One sticks out in my.mind- Janet seemed to quite naturally show a certain peace about her that is seldom seen today. One day I was driving and Tarry was in the "shotgun" seat and the girls were in the back. All of a sudden Tarry opened his door and was out running the car up a hill. We were in Concord, New Hampshire. Marsha and I were stunned because we were moving. Janet looked calm; of course she knew Tarry well. Tarry had spotted a Confederate cannon up on a hill quite aways away. We stopped and all made the trek up the hill. Good fun, good food, and great fellowship. I look forward to visiting with you in your Mansion in the New Jerusalem, Janet.
