Janelle P. Taylor's Obituary
Janelle Paige Jacobson Taylor, 68, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2018. Janelle was born on January 29, 1949 in Cresco, Iowa. As the daughter of Charles Allen and Marjorie Helen Jacobson, Janelle grew up in St. Louis , Missouri and moved to Nassau Bay, Texas her senior year of high school, where she graduated in 1967. Janelle attended the University of Texas where she was a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority and majored in French and Russian. At the University of Texas, she met her husband, Mike. She was married at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Nassau Bay on June 18, 1971 and moved to Dallas, Texas. In 1987, Janelle moved to Germantown, TN, where she was an active member in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Janelle was a very spiritual person, who gave her talents to her family and the church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a devout Catholic. In her younger years, she played guitar in the folk Mass and served as Eucharistic Minister and led Marriage Encounter seminars and children’s Faith Formation classes. More recently, she was involved in the Rosary Makers. Janelle was the quiet strength and generous with her love to all of those close to her. Mrs. Taylor is survived by her husband, Mike Taylor of Germantown, TN; children, Jennifer Taylor Palo (Danny) of Germantown, TN, Laura Taylor Muldoon (Ryan) of Tampa, FL, David Michael Taylor of Cordova, TN; grandchildren, Matthew, Cameron, Madison, AJ, Luke, Gavin, Collin, Daniel, Conlon, and Madison. She is also survived by her brothers, Chuck Jacobson II (Amelia) of League City, TX, Bob Jacobson (Dawn) of League City, TX, Kent Jacobson (Pauline) of Austin, TX and sister, Joan Jacobson Del Papa (Larry) of Galveston, TX. Visitation is scheduled at Memorial Park Funeral Home,Memphis, TN on Thursday, January 4, 2018, from 5-7 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. The funeral is scheduled for Friday, January 5, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Germantown, TN. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be sent to the Rosary Makers at Our Lady of Perpetual Help or Catholic Charities, Diocese of Memphis.Arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave., Memphis, TN 38119 (901) 767-8930. “Celebrating Life… Behind the Stone Wall”.
