Jane Krech Pilcher's Obituary
Jane Krech Pilcher, 89, passed away January 7, 2015 at her granddaughter’s home surrounded by her family. She was born November 22, 1925 in Nashville, TN. She was a 1944 graduate of Central High School, Memphis. She retired from Union Planters Bank. She was a former Pink Lady at Methodist Central Hospital and a member of Grace Presbyterian Church, Bartlett. She is survived by her three sons, James Pilcher (Connie), Richard Pilcher (Robin), and Steve Pilcher (Cinda); seven grandchildren, Katherine Herstine (Brian), James Pilcher, Meredith Robbs (Josh), Natalie Holderfield (Phillip), Lindsey Pilcher Smith (Terry), Julia Gooch (Phillip), and Bradley Pilcher; eleven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Martha Jeanne Krech; nephew, Mike Krech; and niece, Kathy Krech Cooke. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martha and John Krech; brother, John Krech, Jr. and twin-brother, James Krech; and nephew, David Krech. She loved her family and church very much. The family would like to thank Crossroads Hospice for their professional, kind, compassionate staff and volunteers and the staff of Methodist North Hospital, especially Dr. Ramsay and Dr. Zare. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. and funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Sunday, January 11, with Rev. Mike Krech officiating, at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to Grace Presbyterian Church, Bartlett. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, “Behind the Stone Wall.”
