Jane M. Gilluly's Obituary
Jane Mounger Gilluly, 90, of Memphis, passed away after a short illness surrounded by her family. She was born December 27, 1920 in Greenwood, MS. Mrs. Gilluly attended Mississippi State College for Woman in Columbus, MS. Mrs. Gilluly was a 50 year member of All Saints Episcopal Church, member of the Duration Club, and Kings Daughters and Sons. She was also a bridge player, an avid golfer, and member of Colonial Country Club. Mrs. Gilluly’s life revolved around her family. She leaves behind countless friends and was loved by all who knew her. Mrs. Gilluly was preceded in death by her husband Dr. John “Jack” Gilluly. She is survived by her two daughters, Mary Jane Lessley, Georgia McSwain (Bill), two sons, John Gilluly Jr. (Nancy) of Austin TX, and Greg Gilluly (Susan), and Donna “Deenie” Gilluly, twelve grandchildren, and 36 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, September 8, at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, September 9, at All Saints Episcopal Church, 1508 White Station Rd. Memphis. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to All Saints Episcopal Church or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
