I met Jan when I first started working at C. S. Patterson Training Center in Trenton, TN, 40 years ago. She was a very sweet and caring young woman who was always smiling. She started calling me Jennifer even though my name is Gennie. It’s been years since I’ve seen her, but I am deeply saddened by the news of her passing. I’m sure she will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during their time of bereavement. We pray for peace, strength, and comfort for the family. When Jan moved to Memphis she was a gift to my mother, her aunt, who adored her and Jeff and Larry. The day Princess Di got married she came over to my Mother’s early to watch all the festivities. Jan wore her sweat shirt with her pearl necklace in honor of the event! Mother talked about how much fun she had that day (among others) with Jan for years. Cousin Jan and I made fabulous pies at our grandmother’s house when we were growing up. We used mud as the base, moss and flowers as decoration. The flowers we got scolded for for picking. But hey, they were beautiful pies. My prayers for God’s healing, love, and support to the all of the family.Kathy Anderson-Tenn

Jan and I graduated together…went to church together. The great thing about a small town is that the gang you start to school with, are the ones you graduate with. Twelve years together. I will always remember Jan with a smile for she was always happy, witty, and so much fun to be around. We hadn’t talked much over the years but did make contact via FB. I’m happy she found “the one” to share her life with and made her very happy. RIP mYy friend… prayers for Joyce and Larry and your entire family…and your bff Natalie. Beverly Workman Humphrey

Jan and I used to lay on her drive looking at the stars…. while praying some boys would drive by. I am so happy for her that she found the love of her life and I will cherish the memories that I have of her. Prayers to all whom loved her!
