James Woods' Obituary
James Woods 80, passed away March 13, 2016. James “Jim” Lawrence Woods departed this life on March 13, 2016 to live for eternity with his Savior. Jim was born October 21, 1935 in Drew, MS. He graduated from Greenwood High School before serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked in sales for a number of companies before starting Colonial Home Improvement, which he owned and operated from the late 1970’s until his death. Jim was an avid golf player who enjoyed proclaiming himself to be “Bobcat” Woods and insisted that he was “Bobcat” before “Tiger” Woods was even born. He leaves his beloved wife of more than 62 years, Kay Woods, daughter, Donica Ellis, son, Leigh Woods (Stephanie), and six grandchildren Abby, Adam, Nick, and Sam Ellis, Jonathan and Emily Woods. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. and followed by funeral services at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, March 17 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery.
