James Albert Vick, Jr.'s Obituary
James Albert Vick, Jr., 86, of Olive Branch, MS passed away at Trinity Missions Health and Rehabilitation Center on February 5, 2010. Al graduated from Tech HS in Memphis and was an Army veteran of World War II who fought with the 20th Armored Division in Europe. Mr. Vick retired from PPG Industries in 1980 after 33 years of service. He loved the outdoors including fishing, hunting and especially golf. Mr. Vick was a Boy Scout leader for 20 years. Al is survived by his wife of 63 years Charlene; his son, Jimmy (wife Elizabeth), grandchildren Keith and Chris (wife Missy), step-grandchildren Allison (husband Troy) and Jonathan, great-grandchildren, Kennedy and Connor and step-great-grandson Cole. Al is survived by his brother Jack (wife Erma). He was predeceased by his brother Howard and son Tommy. Mr. Vick was a member of Maples Methodist Church in Olive Branch. The visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Monday, February 8 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, also at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial donations are requested to be made to Maples Methodist Church.
