James Timothy “Tim” Little
Tim, 75, passed away on Monday, June 3rd 2024.
Tim was born October 7, 1948 in Lexington TN to Jimmie England Little & Clyde Carter Little. He grew up in Sardis, TN. He attended school in Sardis, TN and was on the baseball and basketball teams. In 1966 the Sardis Blue Devils went to the state basketball tournament, a huge deal for a small town team.
Tim went to UT Martin for 2 years before joining the United States Air Force and serving his country for 4 years. He was stationed in Brindisi, Italy and Taipei, Taiwan. He was a morse intercept operator.
He moved to Memphis afterwards and met his wife Linda. He worked for Bell South for over 30 years. He loved to sail and race sailboats and later became an avid golfer. He loved watching sports and his favorite team was whatever team his grandson was on!
Tim is preceded in death by his parents. Tim leaves his wife, Linda, of 49+ years, and sons, Clarke (Andrea) and Mason (Jennifer), and one grandson, Hudson. He also leaves his brothers, Pat (Dolores) and Stan.
Services will be held Friday, June 7th at Memorial Park Funeral Home in Memphis. Visitation will be from 9am until 10am with funeral services at 10am . Interment will occur following the chapel service at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Family requests donations to St Jude Hospital in lieu of flowers.
