James Tilton's Obituary
JAMES THOMAS TILTON, 75, died November 16, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital. The family will receive friends Friday, November 19 from 5-7 p.m., with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, November 20 at 1 p.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bartlett, TN, with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Tilton was a gradute of Catholic High Class of 1954, was Chairman and King of RaMet, veteran of the U.S. Navy and Air Force during the Korean Conflict, and member of Highland 100 since 1961, and served on the Board of Directors. He retired from Glaxo Smith Klein after 37 years. He leaves his wife of 54 years, Shirley Tilton; two daughters, Debra Tilton Towns and Janice Tilton Story of Bartlett; son, Thomas Lloyd Tilton (Sara) of Eads; brother, Robert L. Tilton (Connie) of Cordova; grandchildren, Stephanie Tilton Lane, James Thomas Tilton II, Andrew Lloyd Tilton, Aaron Christopher Towns, Taryn Nicole Towns, Michael Jonathan Towns, Mark ”Anthony” Towns, Jr., Hunter Mark Story, Taylor Anthony Story, and Jacob Lee Story.
