JAMES E. SPURLOCK, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2011, at home surrounded by his immediate family. Mr. Spurlock was born in Memphis on October 22, 1925 to Andrew J. and Myrtle Helms Spurlock. He attended South Side High School Read Obituary
When I moved to Memphis in 1960 Jim took me in as a housemate. We had a great time for four years, when I got married. My lab Sam lived with us, and he was a constant source of amusement for us. Jim and I went duck hunting many times over in Arkansas.
What a grand guy. A wonderful friend of our family–and a special source of support for our own father for so many years, especially in his later life.
