James W. Sinclair's Obituary
Col. James W. Sinclair, USMC, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, Friday, July 26, 2013. A man of incredible integrity and kindness, Col. Sinclair was a beloved husband to Patricia Sinclair, loving father to three children, son Bryan Sinclair of Woodside, CA, Elizabeth Saelzler, and Katherine Isaacson, and a loving grandfather to granddaughter Alexandra. Col. Sinclair was a highly decorated Vietnam combat veteran, receiving the Meritorious Service, Navy Commendation with “V”, Organized Marine Corps Reserve, National Defense, Vietnam Service with 4 stars, Armed Forces Reserve with two devices, and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry. After retirement, Col. Sinclair was an active member of the community, substitute teaching at local schools, volunteering at the VA Medical Center, as well as the Memphis International Airport. His passionate love of music carried throughout his life; Col. Sinclair was active in the Bartlett Community Band entertaining citizens of both Bartlett and Memphis, TN.
