I am a Pratt by marriage, a sister-in-law to Harry and Rita Pratt, and a Texan. During visits to the Memphis Pratts, I got to know Father Pugh. I was not raised in the Catholic religion, but Father Pugh was the first priest I ever knew with whom I felt comfortable calling ‘Father’. He was a special man and I feel privileged to have known him.
I met this man once when I needed him. And what a great man he was. Debra knew him a long tlme. May you rest in peace.
Father Pugh was a good man. I wish I had known him in my younger days. I wish I had known he was such a biblical scholar; we could have had pleasant discussions. RIP, Father Pugh. We loved knowing you.
So much love for the Gentle Giant. Holy man that lead many to His cross. Glory be to God for His gift to all of us. Fr. Pugh was one of the greatest. We will miss this man and smile upon his memory every time we think of him and every time we hear his name. May May bless this man and adorn him with all of His graces. May he rest in eternal peace with our Lord.
