It is sad news to hear of Jim’s passing. I’ve come to know Jim thru 12 years working with him at the USPS Major Facilities Office in Memphis. He was always a professional, extremely knowledgeable about the Purchasing rules and regulations; but, more than that, he was a fun person to work with, to play golf with, to socialize with and he will be missed. After the office closed, I lost touch with him and other friends for awhile; but, was gratified to reconnect with Jim, Don, David, Gary, and others for our Friday rendezvous for margaritas and Mexican food at El Patrons in Bartlett. Reconnecting with these gentlemen and friends was a great time to reminisce about USPS and the stories of many different adventures. It also was a good time to banter about life and families. Jim had an illustrious career; but, never made it more than what it was. What made Jim smile every day, was his love for family, his wife Nancy, his children and his grandchildren. He will be missed by all. Dennis Meyer
