James T. Mullins' Obituary
James Thomas Mullins, age 94, passed away June 21, 2011 at his home. He was born and reared in the Jacks Creek Community of Chester County, the son of the late Luther Dewell and Mary Ann Wallace Mullins. He attended school in Chester County and graduated Chester County High School in 1936. He married Nettie Marie Dunn in 1937. They made their home in Memphis where Mr. Mullins drove a bus for Greyhound for over 36 years. He retired in 1979 and later moved to Henderson. Mrs. Marie passed away December 1997. Mr. Mullin married Kathleen Brewer, August 2002. They made their home in Henderson. He loved golfing and bowling. He also loved cutting his grass and being outdoors. He was a member of the Sanford Hill Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Brewer Mullins of Henderson; two daughters, Patsy Stock of Byhalia, MS and Jackie Huckaby of Germantown, TN; 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; a brother, Bill Mullins of Germantown. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Max L. Mullins and Joe N. Mullins. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Shackelford – Casey Chapel with Rev. Elmer Cole and Rev. Rob Mullins with services at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Park in Memphis. The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5 till 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
