James Morgan's Obituary
James Harold Morgan, Jr., 76, of Collierville, Tennessee, passed away on May 16th, 2018 after a long courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. He was born on July 18, 1941 in Jackson, TN where he graduated from Jackson High School. He attended Lambeth University and Memphis State University. Harold was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Germantown. His interests included hunting, fishing, golfing and baseball. He was active in the Memphis Amateur Retrievers Club participating in Field Trials with his black labs “Suzie” and “Ginny.” Harold was a National Sales Manager for RCA where he retired after 30 years. After retirement he continued in sales with Zenith and Lodgenet. Harold is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Dixie Morgan; a daughter, Becky France (William) and a son, James “Jim” Harold Morgan, III. (Christi). He was a loving “Pops” to one grandson, Will France of Memphis. He is also survived by a brother, Dr. Carl Younger (Genie) of Memphis. He was preceded in death by his parents, James H. Morgan, Sr. and Peggy Wallace Morgan Younger, two brothers, Don W. Morgan and John Stephen Morgan. Harold’s family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at the Gardens of Germantown for their timeless devotion to Harold’s well being and comfort as well as thanking Compassus Hospice for all they did. The family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday, June 16th from 12:30-1:30pm with a Memorial Service commencing at 1:30pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Avenue in Memphis.
