James Michael McClatchey's Obituary
James Michael McClatchey, 70, of Havelock, died Saturday August 7, 2021, at Crystal Coast Hospice House, Newport.
A graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday August 21, 2021, at Memorial Park Cemetery, Memphis TN. The family will assemble at Memorial Park Funeral Home (Riverside Chapel entrance) at 9:30 a.m. Saturday and will process to graveside.
Mr. McClatchey was born in Memphis TN to H.E. and Marguerite McClatchey. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1971 was retired in 1991 as a Gunnery Sergeant. James spent the remainder of his working career with the town of Havelock, in their Parks and recreation Department.
He is survived by his wife, Hatsumi McClatchey of Havelock; one brother, Gene McClatchey and wife Barbara, of Collierville, TN; one nephew, Ryan McClatchey and wife Meredith, of Knoxville, TN; special friend and caregiver, Christine Laffery of Havelock.
His parents preceded him in death.
