James "Gene" Lockridge's Obituary
James "Gene" Lockridge age 94, of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on April 6, 2022 in Memphis, Tennessee.
He was born on October 1, 1927 in Tremont, Mississippi to the late Grafton Lochridge and Ruby McTune.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Sybil Kelly and a son in law, Bruce Allen.
Gene was member of Berclair Baptist Church for 62 years, worked for Sear Roebuck for 44 years, where he won many Sears suggestions awards and Thinker of the year award in 1979.
He also served his country in the Marine Corp as a Junior Engineer, where he was on the USS Harrison.
Survivors include his loving wife, Yvonne; two daughters, Teresa Allen of Memphis, Tennessee and Shelia Rodriguez (Freddy) of Olive Branch, Mississippi; one sister, Sue Huckabee (Jimmy) of O'Fallon, Missouri and one brother, Jerry Lochridge (Linda) of Olive Branch, Mississippi. Other survivors include 4 grandchildren, Jason Allen, Adam Rodriguez, Steven Allen and Julie Magusiak (Matt).
Funeral Services for Mr. Gene will be conducted on Monday, April 11, 2022 at 1:00pm at Memorial Park Cemetery-Riverside Chapel. The Lockridge Family will receive friends on Monday, April 11, 2022 from 12:00pm until the service hour at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
