James "Jim" Lawrence Strickland's Obituary
James “Jim” Lawrence Strickland, 58, passed away January 16, 2018. Jim served for 5 years with the Germantown Fire Department, and for the last 31 years, he served with the Memphis Fire Department as a Lt. Firefighter/Paramedic and currently as Infection Control Officer. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Teresa Flowers Strickland; children, James A. Strickland, Kathryn “Katie” Strickland and Ashley Strickland; step children, Christin Moses (J.P.) and Jared Vandegriff; brother, Robert “Bob” Strickland and grandchildren, Jennifer and Juliana Moses and Mason Garcia. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday, January 19th at Memorial Park Funeral Home. His service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 20th at Hope Church in the South Hall with visitation the hour prior. Interment will immediately follow the service at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests memorials be made to West Clinic, the American Cancer Society or Semmes Murphy.
