James "Mike" Kitchens' Obituary
James Michael “Mike” Kitchens, born April 25, 1953, in St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on May 11, 2026, in Memphis, Tennessee.
Mike is survived by his devoted wife, Susan Lentz-Kitchens; his children, Tammy Berry (Robert), April Pierce (Doug), and Eric Lentz (Jenny); and his cherished grandchildren, Cathryn Hays (Nick), Alex Berry (Savannah), Camryn Strickland (Will), Lane Pierce, Ellis Lentz, and Jay Lentz. He also leaves behind his beloved great-grandchildren, Lena James Hays and Wittin Alexander Berry. Mike is further survived by his sister, Paula Kitchens, and his brother, David Kitchens (Angie).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Mary Kitchens.
Mike had a passion for golf, baseball, poker, and all things Memphis. He will be remembered for his love of life, his sense of humor, and the joy he found in spending time with family and friends. He retired as a Quality Control Manager from Yates Construction, where he was respected for his dedication and professionalism.
