"A Fitting Farewell for Everyone"
James David Killough, age 69 of Memphis, TN, passed away after a long illness on September 22.
He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a degree in Journalism. His life-long career as a tax advisor and auditor for the Internal Revenue Service took him to various locales around the Southeast, including New Orleans and Atlanta.
He was an ardent comic book, science fiction, music and film fan. He could often be seen throughout his life at film and music festivals in Memphis and around the country. As a result of his Memphis childhood in the 1950's his favorite musician was Elvis Presley, but he also travelled to England to see another favorite, Scott Walker in concert.
He was very eccentric and quick-witted in his own special way. He could hold an audience spellbound with his entertaining tales and jokes.
Please send any memorials to St Jude Childrens Research Hospital or the Memphis charity of your choice, but we, his family, know he would want us to send donations to the Memphis Rock N' Soul Museum on historic Beale Street in Memphis.
