James Wyatt Joyner's Obituary
James Wyatt Joyner, Jr., 60, passed away May 11, 2015. He was born October 20, 1954 in Havelock, NC to Gail Bogard and James W. Joyner, Sr. He graduated from the University of Memphis where he played football. He was a commodity trader for many years. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Ian Joyner; grandson, Charlie; brother, Steven Joyner (Suzi); grandmother, Peggy Joyner; uncles, Jerry Joyner (Harolyn), Phillip Joyner (Inasue), Harry Bogard (Ann), and Ronnie Bogard (Dolly); a niece and nephew; and many cousins. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:30 a.m. and a memorial service will follow at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, May 16 at Memorial Park Funeral and Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations should be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, “Behind the Stone Wall.”
