James Arthur "Jim" Ritchie's Obituary
James Arthur “Jim” Ritchie, 54, passed away May 26, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Nicole Feltman Ritchie, as well as their daughter, Reagan, and son, Payne. In addition, Jim leaves his mother, Catherine Ritchie; sisters Jody (Mike) Tregle and Janet Ritchie; brother, Scott Ritchie; along with a niece and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur G. Ritchie. Jim was born March 17, 1960 in Buffalo, NY, and moved to the Memphis area while in his early teens. He graduated from Bartlett High School and Memphis State University. Jim was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast, but without a doubt, his children were the joy of his life. A member of Bellevue Baptist Church, he also enjoyed working alongside his father and others on a variety of community service and disaster restoration projects. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, also onsite.
