James F. "Jim" Cunningham's Obituary
James F. “Jim” Cunningham, 84, wonderful father and friend, passed away on February 2, 2010 after a lengthy illness. A lifelong Memphis resident , Jim was a retired insurance adjustor who managed his own company, Cunningham Claims Service, for many years. He was born September 25, 1925, and was the only child of Mildred Partlow Cannon. His step-father was Ernie M. Cannon. Jim graduated from Central High School in 1943 and remained close to many friends made at Central High throughout his life. During World War II Jim proudly served as a United States Marine in the South Pacific from 1943 until 1945. He then attended Mississippi State University and graduated in 1949. Jim leaves his daughter, Debbie Mingledorff; and son-in-law, Eric. He also leaves his former wife and friend, Joy Cunningham; and many other close friends.
