James "Jim" Lynn Luton's Obituary
James Lynn Luton (Jim), of Germantown, TN, passed away peacefully at home on Friday April 14th, 2023.
He was born in Brownsville, TN on September 5, 1949 to Neil G. Luton, Jr and Martha Jones Luton.
Jim was a graduate of Messick High School class of 1967 and attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
He was a licensed pilot and worked many years in the hotel construction industry.
Jim loved Tennessee football (the BIG ORANGE), supporting the hometown Tigers (while wearing a Tiger blue shirt but insisting on sporting his trademark orange T hat), and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan (causing many good natured riffs with his Cubs fan son, Brad).
And, of course, he was most definitely always up for a trip to the Rendezvous!
Jim is survived by his wife of 52 years, Myrna Payne Luton. His son Brad Luton (Jennifer) and his sweet granddaughter Mary May.
He leaves his brother Neil Luton (Delores), niece Tracy Oakley, and nephew Alan Luton.
He also leaves his sister-in-law Deborah Payne Donohue (Tom), and nephew Douglas Donohue.
And last but not least, Jim leaves behind his grand doggies Millie and Norman.
Jim/Dad/Granddaddy/Uncle Jim will be greatly missed by All!
A visitation will be held on Wednesday April 19th from 4-7pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Ave.
A private graveside service will be held on Thursday April 20th at Memorial Park Cemetery.
