James W. "Jay" Edwards' Obituary
James W. “Jay” Edwards, 83, of Tumbling Shoals, AR formerly of Memphis, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2014. He was a graduate of Humes High School. He was a retiree of Mapco Petroleum where he worked for many years. He was a very proud member of the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Doris, and is survived by his two children Jan Snell (Joe) and Donnie Edwards (Marsha) all of Tumbling Shoals. He also had three grandchildren Jennifer James (Cameron) of Murfreesboro, TN, Jason Snell (Allison) of Anaheim, CA, and Clint Edwards of Tumbling Shoals. He was also very proud and loved very much his three great grandchildren Conner, Gavin, and Langston James all of Murfreesboro, TN. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 25 from 5-7 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. There will be a private graveside service for the family on Wednesday March 26 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Church Health Center or a charity of the donor’s choice.Arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee 38119, 901-767-8930, “Behind the Stone Wall”Location: Restlawn Arrow Color: White
