James C. Jacobs' Obituary
James C. Jacobs, 74, answered the call of the Lord Sunday, December 13, 2015. Jim earned his bachelor’s degree in Math and History from Murray State University, where he also pitched for the baseball team. During his senior year he led his team to the Conference Championship and was awarded Most Valuable Pitcher of the Ohio Valley Conference. He was the co-owner of Factory Sales Agency until his retirement in 2007. Jim was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus and Fishers of Men. He was also an avid golfer. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Clark Jacobs and mother, Dean Jacobs. He is survived by his loving wife, Glynda Jacobs; children, Sherry Clark (Jeana), Gina White (Joe), Glen Hickerson (Melanie); brother, Danny Jacobs (Janie); step mother, Ruth Jacobs; grandchildren, Chas Hickerson, Tasha Williams, Christina Hunley, and Rosemary White; and great grandchild, Sully Hunley. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the Rosary begins at 12:00 p.m. followed by his Memorial Mass at 12:30 p.m. Friday, December 18 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
