James Earl Jackson's Obituary
James Earl Jackson, 79, of Lakeland, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2023.
He was born on September 11, 1943 in Paris Tennessee to the late Hurshel Leland and Winnie Jackson.
He was always an entrepreneur starting his first business, Earl's Upholstery Co. The second was Decor's Etc. by Earl, followed by E & E Contractual Services, Inc., and finally in October of 1989, he and his son opened Jac-Co Construction, Inc.
In Earl's free time he enjoyed fishing and boating. His favorite place to do both was at the Breakers Marina in Buchanan, TN at the Land Between the Lakes. This is where he surrounded himself with family and friends that he always called family.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Addie Mae Scott and his brother, Wesley C. Jackson.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Debbie Jackson; his three sons Leland Ray Jackson (Tina), Anthony Len Jackson, Keith Moore (Sandy), and one daughter Kelly Blurton; eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and along with many more he considered family, because he never met a stranger. Earl was an amazing and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home and again on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 9:00am. Funeral Serivces will be conducted on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 10:00am in the Fireside Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Memphis Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
