I was the first addition to the Jim & Dorothy Craven family of 6. I married Nancy in June of 1976. And I was blessed to have married a pretty little girl from Memphis that had the very nature of her Dad. I really didn’t know that then of course, but through the years it became very clear, she was the chip off the ole block; kind, considerate, unselfish, caring of others, & giving. Pops was a great example of a father to me in addition to being my father-in-law. This is one committed family to each other. They cared for “Daddy/Jimmy/Pops”, with all their hearts. There is a big whole in the Craven family today and in addition there is a big whole in my heart as well. The tears will continue to flow in the Craven family because Pops was well loved, by us all. I along with the rest of this family will miss him greatly. But I know there is a greater love that he believed in with all his heart, and that is the love that he possessed that God gave him through his Son Jesus Christ. I know that Pop’s hope and trust were set on not what his eyes could see but what they couldn’t see. He believed in a place that was to come, and now is, where he would experience the promises that he bet his life on. I am thankful to have been his son-in–law and I look forward our reunion one day. Thank you Pops for being my Pops. Bob Pierce
