James Eugene Carroll's Obituary
James Eugene Carroll, 95, passed away on August 23, 2022. Mr. Carroll was a graduate of Woodlawn High School in Birmingham, AL and he graduated with honors from Georgia Tech. He served in the Navy during World War II. Mr. Carroll was a retired electrical engineer from Allison Construction. Mr. Carroll was an active member of the Collierville United Methodist Church, where he was a member of the choir and the Noah singers, and active member of SAM. His hobbies were woodworking and golf.
He was preceded by his wife of 68 years Annie Laura Nolan Carroll and his brother Jack Carroll.
Survived by his two children, Sharyn Carroll Collier (Charles) of Collierville TN, Mike Carroll (Connie) of Albany, Georgia, four grandchildren, Kim Collier Wallace (Michael) Laurie Collier Burnett (Lee), Missie Mendoza (Ventura), and Mickey Carroll (Mellisa), 11 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
The visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the service time at 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 26, 2022 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Southwoods Cemetery.
