James Arnold Blaylock's Obituary
James Arnold Blaylock, 89, passed away on July 11, 2021. He was a 1953 graduate of Messick High School. Mr. Blaylock chose law enforcement as a career, being a Memphis Police Officer for 25 years before retiring, but his wife had other ideas. He returned to work an additional 30 years in private security for both Vance Boyd Jewelers and Bryce Corporation. James is proud to say he attended every high school reunion throughout the years. Mr. Blaylock was a former member of White Station Baptist Church and now a current member of Covenant Baptist Church. He was an active member of the White Station Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite, and the Al Chymia Shrine Temple with a unit called the Directors Staff. He and his wife had one son, Alan Blaylock and his wife Elizabeth and one granddaughter Lauren. The visitation for Mr. Blaylock will be held from 1:30 p.m. until the service time at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
