James L. "Big D" Douglas' Obituary
James L. Douglas passed away peacefully at his home in Germantown, TN on March 6, 2017. James was Born January 2, 1932 in Memphis, TN to James Louis and Marjorie Douglas. He lived in Memphis his entire life, he graduated from Central High School and Memphis State University and was a CPA since 1967. He was a football star while serving in the U.S. Navy. James was preceded in death by his sons, Art, Lou, Tommy and Chris Douglas. James will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; two step sons, Rocky and Gary Howell; his son Joe and his wife Ann Douglas; grandchildren, Caden, Grant and Charlie Douglas. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 8 from 10:30 am until service time of 11:30 am at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.“Celebrating Life…Behind the Stone Wall”
