James Lee Atwood's Obituary
James Lee Atwood, Jr., 30, of Memphis, TN left to be in the arms of the Lord on July 1, 2014. James was the son of James Lee Atwood, Sr., and Rhonda and Van Cochran. He also left behind a younger brother, Caleb Atwood and a longtime girlfriend, Tam Tran. He is survived by grandparents, Tommy and Jamie Gupton of Whiteville, TN, several aunts and uncles, and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents, James and Eleanor Atwood of Palestine, TX. Throughout his life, James was always curious with an insatiable hunger for knowledge. His passion for learning was evident to all who knew him. His immense interests in aviation as a young child had led him to become a certified flight instructor. His aspirations of becoming a Computer Engineer had led him back to University of Memphis for a Second Bachelor’s Degree. He was never a moment idle.Visitation and remembrance of James will be on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 1:00 p.m., and service at 2:30 p.m., at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
